Eddie & the Cruisers
Lost my copy of the drawing I did back in the 80's after this movie came out. Got sentimental and pulled a poster image online to re-draw Michael Pare' simply because this shot has 'perfect face'.
(I wonder who took the photo for this poster!?)

Nautical Nature
Water. Boats.. This serene scene came to be as a gift for my big brother.
I wanted to try painting on this unusual surface (a map of Santa Cruz, Ca.) and the nature of the
location inspired the watery scene (which I vaguely recall pulling from one of my learn-to-paint books).

Anna's Angel
Sitting with Spirit, and thinking of creating a work for an auction for a dear friend Anna,
the stars first came to light upon the blank page.
As the stars began to stream across the page,
the angel came in with healing love and light.
The work is Oil-Pastel sticks, on 14x17" paper.
Happily, the original Anna's Angel did sell at the auction. -
the rose
My niece was painting with me one afternoon, and for a spray bottle of water, we decided to try a little bottle of rosewater I had. She became inspired to paint a single rose, using some of the rosewater to play with the acrylic paint. As a bonus, the rose oil graced the artwork with the sweet scent of a rose!
My inspiration comes from that cherished afternoon memory.Oil pastel crayons on a 4" x 10" canvas

Brad's Angel
Thanks to my beloved soul sister Sheila, I have my first full watercolor painting.
She and I were in the midst of grieving the loss of a dear soul brother Brad, and as art therapy, we spent hours with his essence in memoriam.
This angel now spreads its wings in my home.

It could be unfinished.

First Snow
As I got the watercolor bug while painting with my sister, I was thrilled to see the same color palette from Brad's Angel create a completely different mood. This painting is among my favs, due to its being without any visual inspiration.

El Toro Sunset After a Rain
In much gratitude, I am inspired to try my hand at painting this view of El Toro to give to my amazing realtor. She worked wonders helping me to find my current home in Morgan Hill. And this view is one we both are blessed to share.
